Practicing Hypnotherapy as a Spiritual Therapy- Hypnosis London

September 11, 2008

Hypnosis basically describes a state of consciousness that allows the individual to respond to suggestion by some one else. All hypnosis is self hypnosis and it can impulsively come about for an individual. Hypnosis is a state of mind that can be induced or self induced with the help of a psychological expert or a hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy can also be practiced as a spiritual practice by using the client’s unusual state of hypnotic consciousness. During the therapy, the hypnotherapist tries to engage the client’s conscious and sub-conscious mind directly. The process of hypnotherapy is generally interactive and is based on the use of communication; both verbal and non verbal, between the client and the hypnotherapist while the client is in a state of trance or hypnosis. The therapy is most effective while the client is in a hypnotic state of mind, because in such a situation they are able to access information, get proper healing, increase creativity, and get proper access to their past memories and an insight into their own selves which is normally not there in a walking state of consciousness. In hypnotherapy, change always takes place from within the client; it is inwardly generated and is essential for the mental health of the client. A hypnotherapist is expected to have the necessary tools and skills with him to help the clients in removing the issue or disease. This minimizes the therapist’s power over the client which is often wrongly perceived.

Hypnotherapy, when practiced spiritually, can be even more effective. It actually involves a transpersonal or spiritual focus on the client to support his or her personal information even further. This also invokes the client’s higher self or the wisest and most inspiring aspect of consciousness to enable him to get access to an expanded state of consciousness similar to those experienced in meditation. This is where the ego and self consciousness rises up and in such a state of mind, the client receives better healing and deep changes take place often without much effort. The client develops a strong state of mind and uses his will power to remove the disturbing thoughts and images of the past from his mind. Being spiritually confident and encouraged, the client begins to have a new sense life and the world around him, he decides to take on new challenges and move forward in life.

Spiritual hypnotherapy makes it possible for us to get access and utilize our expanded states of consciousness at our will, and with the help of this we can support our various personal goals and objectives. The therapy heals us while in an expanded state of consciousness and causes a change within our self towards achieving our person goals in therapeutic way. Spiritual hypnotherapy is an art of guiding the client towards his own higher self into an expanded state of consciousness. The spiritual practice of hypnotherapy puts us directly in touch with our spiritual nature and how our consciousness creates the forms and structures of our lives. Spiritual hypnotherapy is surely an art and requires unique skills to practice.
